Polls

    ...get on my fucking nerves.  Many people take what they say, literally.   Too many of us aren't thinking  precisely because we fail to realize that facts still matter and that numbers can be manipulated.  Hell, even a one time statistics' student knows this.  We appear to take our logical skills and throw them out the window when it comes to information we've gleaned from polls.precisely in our thinking when we fail to realize that facts still matter and that numbers can be manipulated. 

Polls! I hate them.  They are purposely designed to manipulate people who believe them.  Now don't get me wrong, I do believe that there are some polls that are valid, but I don't believe most of them are.  I think most are made up of select audiences(designer audience), who are asked questions which are said in  ways that are almost guaranteed an expected outcome.  Questions, many times, are skewed toward the "hoped for" responses rather than for truths.   I just don't trust them.  I don't think any of us should rely on them for their unwavering veracity.  Gullibility is not a good look on any of us striving to hold on to our democracy.
